Can I use an iPOD or other device for music?

iPOD or other music devices are allowed but we ask that you stay safe and aware by keeping volumes at a low level in case of emergency.  Rule 144.3 of USA Track and Field enables race directors to choose to allow the use of headphones by runners in non-championship races.  The only exception to this new rule is those elite athletes competing for money are not allowed to use iPods or music devices.

When can I register for the event?

Registration is LIVE and can be found here!

Where do I get my bib number and race packet?

Packet Pickup is located at The Carmel Marathon Expo, hosted by the Monon Community Center at Central Park, 1235 Central Park Drive East, Carmel, IN 46032. The Expo is free and open to the public on Friday, April 20th from 10:00AM to 9:00PM. There will be no Packet Pick up or Race Day Registration on race day.

Can a friend pick up my Participant Race Packet?

Yes with a copy of email entry confirmation.

Can I run in a different race then I registered for?

Yes!  We realize that training can go much better than expected, or maybe not quite as expected.  In case of any last second changes, there will be the opportunity to change events at the Expo. The Expo is the ONLY place where these changes can take place.  NOTE: no money will be refunded for changing distances to a shorter event and the difference in cost for late registration will be charged when changing from a shorter distance to a longer distance.

I’m physically unable, injured, or sick and cannot run. May I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds for any of the Carmel Marathon Championship Weekend events but we will defer your entry to the following year.

Where can I order merchandise?

Official event merchandise will be available for purchase at the Runners Forum in Carmel, or online here prior to the Marathon Championship Weekend Expo.

What if I can’t finish the race?

We’ll help you out!  There will be a bus following all courageous participants of each race. Anyone who cannot finish or cannot keep the minimum pace will enjoy a free ride back to the post race area.

Where should I meet my family after the race?

The post race area is located in Center Green just on the south side of the Palladium and the start/finish area. Here is a map to the start/finish area to assist you with making post-race plans.

Are baby joggers, strollers, roller blades, dogs or bicycles allowed in any event?

The only events in which strollers, baby joggers, and wheelchairs are allowed are the Championship Weekend 8k and the 1-Mile Family Fitness Walk.  There are no exceptions for the Carmel Marathon and Carmel Half Marathon.  For the Championship Weekend 8k, baby jogger and stroller participants must start at the back of the filed for safety.
