2012 Carmel Half Marathon Course Map

As with the Carmel Marathon, the Carmel Half Marathon start and finish line are located just north of the Palladium at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and City Center Drive (starting East on City Center Drive) allowing friends and families to witness both without having to leave an area. Corrals will open at 6:45AM with opening ceremonial remarks and National Anthem beginning at 7:20AM followed by the 7:30AM official start.

Also a walker friendly event, the half marathon course will be open for 4 hours or until 11:30AM. The half marathon course breaks away from the marathon course just after mile 3 then rejoins the marathon route offering spectators and fans the opportunity to cheer on runners/walkers as they complete their mission. As with the marathon course, the half marathon course will also highlight picturesque views of Hamilton County, Carmel Clay Parks trails, spectator friendly neighborhoods, Carmel Arts and Design Downtown District, and the new state-of-the art Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts where music will help you rest and catch up with friends and family.

Technical shirts from ASICS will be provided for all participants, and as you cross the finish line you will receive the inaugural, collectors-edition Carmel Marathon Championship Weekend Half Marathon finisher’s medal!
