Race Transfers and Downgrades

We will again offer race transfers and event downgrades for 2016. You can transfer your current registration online here--please choose "Transfer to Another Participant." Please email if you are downgrading your distance.

Event offers a top-100 U.S. marathon, half marathon, the Horizon Bank 8K, and the Carmel 5K! All races will utilize the same start and finish line at the Palladium, at the corner of 3rd Avenue and City Center Drive, in Carmel, Indiana.

Carmel Marathon - 7:30 a.m. Start

The specially-designed 26.2 mile USATF certified course (USATF certification #IN10049MW) is flat and fast! Ranked #30 in 2012 by as the 30th best course in the US to qualify for Boston! Now the 2nd largest marathon in Indiana. The marathon has a 6.5 hour time limit.

Carmel Half Marathon - 7:30 a.m. Start

The 13.1 mile certified course (USATF certification #IN10050MW) starts with marathoners for the first 3 miles. The Half Marathon has been tabbed my many as the fastest half marathon event in the spring because it is not overly crowded. Participants reunite with the marathoners prior to entering to the Carmel Arts and Design District, finishing the last mile together.

Horizon Bank 8K - 7:30 a.m. Start

The Horizon Bank 8K will utilize the same start and finish as the Marathon and Half Marathon and will provide an ultra fast course through Main Street, on the Monon Trail over the Keystone Parkway than back to the Palladium!

Carmel 5K - 7:30 a.m. Start

The traditional 5K distance is the perfect distance for all ages and skill levels. The course will partner with the Horizon Bank 8K for the first mile then turn and run through Old Town Carmel. The finish will be at the main finish line along with all other race distances.

Awards Presentation and New Belgium Brewing Beer Garden

The awards for the Horizon Bank 8K and Carmel 5K will be presented at 9 a.m. at the Tom Wood Vehicle Display located on the west side of the Palladium. The awards presentation for the Carmel Half Marathon awards will take place at 10 a.m. and the Carmel Marathon awards at 11 a.m. All awards will be presented at the Tom Wood Vehicle Display.

Enjoy your accomplishments and share your stories at the New Belgium Brewing Beer Garden next to the finish line. This is the place to share your accomplishment with family and new friends you’ve met on the course and have a complimentary, celebratory post-race beer, Coca-Cola product or Dasani water!
