Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse & Suicide

The mission of the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse & Suicide is clear - to prevent youth abuse and save lives.  We are committed to educating youth and adults with our evidence-based programs. Through education, we can empower the community to end youth abuse and suicide once and for all.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.  And families never receive a bill from St. Jude. We pay for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.  By sharing our knowledge freely and exchanging ideas openly, we’re inspiring more collaboration between doctors and researchers worldwide, and, as a result, providing more lifesaving treatments for children everywhere.

Back on My Feet (BoMF)

A national for-purpose 501(c)3 organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness change the way they see themselves so they can make real change in their lives that results in employment and independent living.

The organization’s mission is not to create runners within the homeless population, but to use running to create self-sufficiency in the lives of those experiencing homelessness. The program’s success is measured by how many Members obtaining independence through employment, job training and housing.

Through dedication and hard work, Residential Members (those experiencing homelessness) earn the opportunity to create a new road for themselves. Running leads to personal transformation and dedication to the program leads to access to training, employment and housing resources. Through community and corporate support, the program strives to change the perception of homelessness.

Back on My Feet will be on-site at our Fitness Expo collecting gently used shoes. Click here to learn how to donate.

As an initiative under Joseph Maley Fitness, run2gether pairs individuals with disabilities between the ages of six and 21 with a group of experienced runners. The athletes with disabilities are known as the captains, while the experienced runners are their crew. The crew pushes the captain in specially designed running/racing wheelchairs. Together they train for and then compete in a variety of racing events from 5Ks to marathons around central Indiana.

Run2gether provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in exciting and challenging running events that they might not otherwise be able to be involved with. It gives crewmembers the joy of being able to say, “My hero always beats me by a second.” run2gether imparts a bond between the captain and crew through socialization, connection, and celebration of each other’s accomplishments. The teamwork and togetherness felt reminds us that it is always better when we run2gether. www.JosephMaley.org
