CRRG Events adds Carmel Marathon 5 Mile Tune Up race in Westfield
Event to be held in advance of 11th annual Carmel Marathon Weekend
CARMEL, Ind. (Feb. 18, 2021) – Today CRRG Events announced a new five-mile event in Westfield, Indiana as a ‘tune up’ for the Carmel Marathon Weekend. In partnership with Personal Best Training, Jack Rabbit of Carmel, Grand Junction Brewing Co. and Aquafina, the Carmel Marathon Weekend 5 Mile Tune Up Presented by PBT will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 13.
The course will start and finish in front of Grand Junction Brewing’s taproom in Westfield and will tour around and through Grand Park Sports Campus. The chip-timed event will be limited to 350 people, and COVID-19 policies and procedures will be in place throughout the event. All participants will receive an event shirt and a free beverage from Grand Junction Brewing Co.
“We heard from so many runners who are eager to get back out in a competitive event and test their fitness after months of solo training,’ said Todd Oliver, race director for the Carmel Marathon Weekend and CRRG Events. “With a small field and safety guidelines in place, we’re excited to offer participants an official dress rehearsal before the marathon in April.”
The 11th annual Carmel Marathon Weekend will be an in-person event on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Carmel, Indiana, with registration number restrictions and COVID-19 policies in place in accordance with local guidelines. A virtual option is also offered to interested participants. The Carmel Half Marathon is currently sold out; a waitlist is available.
