The safety and well being of our participants, volunteers, event staff and spectators is always our top priority. As we prepare for the 10th Anniversary, Carmel Marathon Weekend, we're closely monitoring the developments related to COVID-19. That includes staying in close contact with the City of Carmel and using updates from the city's public Health Department as well as the State of Indiana, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization to help us plan an event that everyone can enjoy safely.
As of today, our postponed date of June 14th has been cancelled by local officials. Indiana is making strides in flattening the curve of COVID-19 but not enough progress has been made for a June event. Registration is paused as we work with city officials on a potential fall date. We will continue to update you as we have any new information or details.

Dear Carmel Marathon Weekend Participants,
As we have noted in our last update, we have been working hard to secure a postponement date for this year’s Carmel Marathon. We will continue to monitor the ongoing changes and developments with regard to the COVID-19 virus and follow the recommended guidelines to beat the virus.
As an organization we are always committed to staging safe events and it has become clear that holding the Carmel Marathon on April 4 would be nearly impossible during a time when resources such as medical teams, volunteers, and vendors may be strained under the impact of this situation. The health and safety of our community, participants, volunteers and spectators come first along with supporting our partners in their efforts.
Participant Update: registered participants have the following options to choose from:
Automatically entered in the new race date which is TBD. No action is required.
Transfer your entry to Virtual. Participants will receive their bib, shirt and medal once they have logged into their account and changed their entry to “virtual” and completed the distance. Detailed information will be emailed.
Defer your entry to April 3, 2021.
We know there will be many questions about the above options. In order to answer these and many other questions, please visit our FAQs below.
