COVID-19 RACE UPDATES

If you are planning to defer your 2020 Carmel Marathon race entry to the April 3, 2021 Carmel Marathon Weekend, the deadline to do so is June 1, 2020. (Please log into your Race Roster account and transfer your current registration to 2021 Deferral. There is not cost to do this.)

The deadline to transfer your entry to the 2020 Virtual option is June 1, 2020. (Please log into your Race Roster account and transfer your current registration to the 2020 Virtual option. There is no cost to do this.)

Virtual runs can be completed between April 4, 2020 and September 1, 2020. Information on how to submit your virtual results will be sent out and posted later this week. Please do not submit your virtual confimations at this time. Virtual packets will be sent out beginning the week of June 22.)
Due to social distancing restrictions, we ask that you please not plan to gather in groups to run the Carmel Marathon course.

Carmel Marathon Officially Postponed to SUNDAY, JUNE 14, 2020!
Dear Carmel Marathon Weekend Participants,
As we have noted in our last update, we have been working hard to secure a postponement date for this year’s Carmel Marathon. We will continue to monitor the ongoing changes and developments with regard to the COVID-19 virus and follow the recommended guidelines to beat the virus. We are happy to share that we have received approval of a postponement date of Sunday, June 14 for the 10th Annual Carmel Marathon Weekend!
As an organization we are always committed to staging safe events and it has become clear that holding the Carmel Marathon on April 4 would be nearly impossible during a time when resources such as medical teams, volunteers, and vendors may be strained under the impact of this situation. The health and safety of our community, participants, volunteers and spectators come first along with supporting our partners in their efforts.
Participant Update: registered participants have the following options to choose from:
Automatically entered in the June 14th date. No action is required.
Transfer your entry to Virtual. Participants will receive their bib, shirt and medal once they have logged into their account and changed their entry to “virtual” and completed the distance. Detailed information will be emailed.
Defer your entry to April 3, 2021.

Is the Carmel Marathon Weekend Still Happening?
Yes, the race has been postponed to a new date of Sunday, June 14, 2020.
What is the start time for the 2020 Carmel Marathon on June 14th?
The 5K and 10K will start at 7:30 A.M.
The Marathon and Half Marathon will start at 7:30 A.M.
Do I need to do anything with my registration to particpate on June 14, 2020?
If you plan to run with us on June 14th, your current registration will automatically transfer to the new date. No need to do anything.
What if I am not able to participate on June 14, 2020?
If you can't participate on race day, you have the following options:
All participants will need to transfer his/her current registrations to Virtual. You can do that on our Registration page HERE:
Virtual runs can be completed starting April 4, 2020 and must be submitted by September 1, 2020. *Due to social distancing restrictions, please do not plan to gather in groups to run the Carmel Marathon course.

Can I receive a refund if I cannot participate on June 14, 2020?
It is our policy that we do not offer refunds if you cannot attend the race on June 14th.
Can I change my registration to a different race distance?
Yes! Downgrades will be available for all race distances.
- Downgrades from the half and full to the 10K or 5K are $10
- Downgrades from the Marathon to the Half Marathon are $20.

Can I transfer my race registration to a different person?
You may transfer your entry to another participant for a $10 transfer fee. The deadline to transfer is midnight on May 31, 2020. The current registered person must provide CRRG Events with the email address of the person transferring in to initiate the transfer process. You can send transfer emails HERE.
Where is the 2020 Carmel Marathon Fitness Expo?
The 2020 Carmel Marathon Fitness Expo will still be held at the Carmel High School Freshman center on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
What do I do with my Hotel reservation?
If you have a reservation with one of our official partner hotels, please contact them directly. We have been in direct communication with the hotels and it is our understanding that the hotels have availability and transfer options.
