Half Marathon

13.1 Miles

Start time: 8:10 a.m.

Profile: Flat to rolling

The Carmel Half Marathon course starts and finishes north of the Palladium on City Center Drive. The course highlights picturesque Hamilton County, Carmel Parks, and the Arts and Design District before returning to the Center for the Performing Arts.

Race Week Schedule

Friday, April 18

Expo: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

     502 East Event Centre

502 E. Carmel Drive

All runners must pick up their packets at the expo. There will be no packet pickup on race day.

Saturday, April 19

     City Center Dr and 3rd Ave

7:30 a.m.   Runners to their corrals

7:45 a.m.   Opening ceremonies

7:52 a.m.   National anthem

8:00 a.m.   5k and 10k start

8:10 a.m.   Marathon and Half start

Event Details

Elevation:

The half marathon course is flat to rolling and highlights some of the most beautiful parts of Carmel.

Aid Stations

Aid stations will be at the following locations on course, and include water and Lemon Lime Gatorade.

Pacers

There will be pacers for the half marathon running the times below. Pacers will line up in the start corrals with signs indicating their pace and target finish time. Running with a pacer is free and no additional registration is required -- just show up at the start line and introduce yourself to your pacer.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall and the top 3 in each age group for each gender category (Male, Female, and Non-Binary).

In addition, there will be equal prize purses for the top 3 male and female finishers, per USATF standards:

1st place overall Male and Female: $750

2nd place overall Male and Female: $500

3rd place overall Male and Female: $250

Course Record Bonus: $300 in addition to prize purse above

All runners will receive a super soft, moisture-wicking shirt and a finisher's medal. Last year's (2024) medal is below; 2025 designs coming soon!
