Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I'm registered for one distance, but I'd like to switch to another. How can I do that? A: You can switch to a different distance up until the Saturday before the event. You’ll need to log in to RunSignUp, go to your profile, and find your upcoming races. Next to the Carmel Marathon Weekend, you’ll want to click on “Manage Registration.” Then, scroll to the bottom and click on “Transfer Event.” That will allow you to select a different distance. Note that if you transfer to a longer distance, you’ll need to pay the difference between that event’s current fee and the amount you originally paid. If you transfer to a shorter distance, you will not be issued a refund for the difference in cost.

Q: I can't make it to the expo. Can my packet be mailed to me? A: No, we can't mail your packet. If you can't make it to the expo, you may have someone else pick up your packet for you (no I.D. required). If that isn't an option for you, please email and we'll work with you.

Q: Is there a time limit for each race? A: Yes. The marathon has a time limit of 6.5 hours (about 15:00 / mile). Runners in the half marathon must maintain a 16:00 / mile pace. The 5k and 10k are walker friendly and don't have a time limit.

Q: Will there be shuttles to the start? Where should I park on race day? A: Shuttle details coming soon! Q: I registered but can't make it to the race. What are my options? A: Our policy allows for you to defer your registration to the following year or transfer it to someone else. Those can both be done by logging in to your RunSignUp account and selecting Manage Registration.

Q: How do I join a club or team (or change my team)? A: You can select (or create) a team or club during the registration process. If you're already registered, you'll need to log in to your RunSignUp account and go to your profile. From there, you'll want to find the Carmel Marathon Weekend and select Manage Registration. Once there, click on Running Clubs or Team at the top. You'll have the option to join an existing team or create a new one.
